MURDER #3 EVIDENCE
MURDER#3 Alex Clark (murder victim #3) Clark was killed June 29, 2001. Alex Clark and Steve Wright, Jr. had known each other since they were little boys.  Steve was never picked up or questioned about the murder. 3 years later, an unknown male to Steve told officials, "he knew Steve, they dealt drugs together, and Steve confessed to him the day after the crime, that he killed  Alex Clark.: When Steve became aware of the statement, the individual's name was revealed to Steve; Ramone Strickland. In Strickland's exact words from his original statement, "Steve saw Alex walking, they exchanged words, Steve said he jumped out of the car and shot him 4 or 5 times in the chest." The prosecutor argued that Steve "crept up behind Alex and shot him in the back of the head." (This is conflicting to what Mr. Strickland stated. (Strickland stated Steve drove up and shot Alex.) Mr. Strickland was the only witness the prosecution team used against Steve Wright, Jr.  According to medical reports, Alex Clark was shot 11 or 12 times-7 of the shots were in the head, close range.  During cross examination, Mr. Strickland was asked, "why did you fail to mention Alex was shot in the head multiple times, considering that is crucial and the cause of death?" Mr. Strickland replied, "I did say that, the officers must have written it down wrong." Strickland claimed he met Steve through a friend. The friend told Steve's lawyer he "never introduced Steve to Ramone" and had "no knowledge that Steve ever met Strickland." This same friend, Strickland made statements to law officials that he (the friend) confessed 2 murders to him.  An eyewitness called the police and told them she "saw a man running down the street from where Alex' body was laying."  The man running down the street is the person who most likely killed Mr.Clark. This lady wasn't called neither was the friend of Ramone Strickland called by Steve's lawyers. The witneses'  or police statements were not used during Steve's trial
Steve's lawyers did not put up a strong defense for Steve.

OUR SYMPATHY:
Steve as well as our family extend our deepest sympathy to the families of Victim #3 and pray that God continues to give them strength. We pray that justice is righteously served. This is another example of the prosecutor not seeking justice for the family. However, just seeking only the conviction of Steve. The Clark family concede that Steve is innocent of the murder against Alex and stand in Steve's defense.
